AI Variables are the next step of AI-powered personalization with Aimfox. They let you insert fully customizable, context-aware AI prompts anywhere in your LinkedIn messages - giving you complete control over how your outbound messaging is generated.
You can use them to to add a short AI-generated compliment, rewrite an entire message, or fine-tune tone and style. In any case, AI Variables put the power in your hands.
What is an AI Variable? 🔍
An AI Variable is a smart placeholder in your message template that tells the AI exactly what to write, and how.
It works like this:
{{AI VARIABLE: Compliment the target based on their background in sales. Be concise and friendly. Max 100 characters.}}Each variable is context-aware - it uses LinkedIn data from both your profile (the sender) and the target's profile to craft relevant, personalized copy. Currently, the model looks at the following data for both the sender and target:
First Name
Last Name
Occupation
Location
Current Company
Time at Current Company
It's worth noting that you can use multiple AI Variables in a single message, and that they are aware of eachother.

How to use AI Variables 🤖
To use AI Variables, simply click the magic wand icon in the text editor, accessible from either Campaigns or Templates and enter your prompt.
You can use it as either part of a message, or the entire message, and you can add multiple prompts per message.

These examples will give you an idea of how you can use AI Variables for a few common use cases. Keep in min that the formatting does not translate 1:1 to our editor - to apply these templates, simply replace everything starting with {{AI VARIABLE:...}} with the AI Variable component via the magic wand icon.

If you previously used AI Enhance (the toggle that auto-rewrote messages using AI), here’s what you need to know:
What’s changing?
AI Enhance has been deprecated and is no longer available.
All campaigns that used AI Enhance were paused at the time of transition.
You can resume those campaigns, but AI personalization will be disabled until you edit the templates to use AI Variables.
How to recreate your old AI Enhance experience:
Open your campaign and edit the message templates.
Remove your old message text.
Replace it with an AI Variable by clicking the magic wand Icon and adding an example prompt:
Rewrite this message to be personalized for the target based on both sender and target profiles. Use a friendly and professional tone. Message body: "Hi {{First Name}}, thanks for connecting! Your profile popped up the other day in my suggested connections so I wanted to connect. Are you still working at {{ Current Company}}?"

Optionally, add custom instructions to control tone, format, or message length.
This gives you the same result as AI Enhance - but with far more control.
