Custom proxies give you full control over your LinkedIn account connections and ensure compatibility with your infrastructure.
What are custom proxies?
By default, Aimfox assigns a login location from our pool of global IPs. However, you can also connect through your own static or rotating residential/datacenter proxy, which is ideal for users with strict compliance or routing requirements.
How to add and manage custom proxies
You can configure your custom proxies from three key areas in the Aimfox dashboard:
During account login - When connecting a new LinkedIn account.
Accounts screen - Via the account settings menu.
Workspace Settings β Proxies tab - View, add, test, or delete your proxies in one place.
Adding a New Proxy
To add a proxy, go to Workspace Settings β Proxies, then click "Add proxy".
You will need to provide the following credentials:
Name - Internal label (for your reference).
Address - your proxy URI, formatted like so: [protocol]://[username]:[password]@[host]:[port]. Pasting a correctly formatted URI will autofill the form.
Username - Auth credential (optional if your proxy is IP-authenticated).
Password - Auth credential (optional if your proxy is IP-authenticated).
After entering the details, use the "Test Connection" button to verify connectivity before saving.
Example proxy π€
Let's look an example of a correctly set up proxy: http://username:[email protected]:1234
In this case, proxy formatting can be broken down like this:
Host: someproxy.com
Port: 1234
Username: username
Password: password
Removing a Proxy
To remove a proxy, head to the Workspace Settings β Proxies tab, click the three-dot menu next to the proxy, and select "Delete".
β οΈ Note: A proxy cannot be deleted if it's currently assigned to any active LinkedIn accounts. Attempting to do so will return an error message.
To delete it, first switch any accounts using that proxy to a different one.
Proxy Type Support
Aimfox supports the following proxy formats:
HTTP
HTTPS
Important: Make sure your proxy is not blocked by LinkedIn or blocking LinkedIn. Poor-quality proxies may result in failed logins or account restrictions.
