Aimfox campaigns can run either from a single LinkedIn account, or multiple accounts at the same time. Campaigns which are ran from more than one LinkedIn account are called multi-account campaigns.

Multi-account campaigns have two possible roles for accounts:

  • Worker accounts – These accounts send messages, connection requests, or InMails to your targets. They handle the actual outreach.

  • Search accounts – In some campaign types (for example search campaigns), you need to choose an account to find targets for the campaign. This account doesn’t need to send any communication, it simply gets the data for your targeting list.

This article explains all the unique functionality for multi-account campaigns, as well as error handling, and the general logic behind how they work.

If you’re looking for step-by-step setup instructions on how to create a campaign, check the help articles for your specific campaign type.

Basic Multi-Account Campaign Behavior

Multi-account campaigns allow you to divide your campaign targets between multiple accounts in order to get more connections, replies and conversions in the same amount of time.

Creating a multi-account campaign is as simple as choosing to add multiple LinkedIn accounts to your campaign from the account dropdown. Aimfox will automatically assign your targets to each account as soon as you start the campaign.

Multi-account campaigns keep working even if some accounts become disconnected, or encounter other problems. These accounts will be on standby until the issue is fixed. Their in-progress targets will be on hold.

Important: The overall campaign status is separate from individual account status. An active campaign stays active even if some, or all accounts encounter an issue. This is because as soon as the issue is resolved, the campaign will continue working as normal. In case all accounts have stopped, you will see a grey active state.

Inactive Accounts

If an account is not able to execute interactions in the campaign, they will be considered Inactive. This can be due to a few reasons:

  • Disconnected - The account is not connected to Aimfox and must be reconnected.

  • No Seat – The account doesn’t have a seat assigned and needs one before it can participate.

  • No LinkedIn Premium – For connect campaigns with a connection note, the account must have LinkedIn Premium in order to send the note.

Target Assignment and Account-level Locking

Unassigned campaign targets begin in an "initialized" state, and are assigned to individual worker accounts in batches.

Once an account performs a committal action on a target - such as sending a Connection request or InMail - the target becomes locked to that account. Locked targets cannot be reassigned to a different worker account.

While a target is going through the campaign flow, it is considered "In progress" for that worker account. If the account is inactive for any reason (for example disconnected), those targets will be on standby until the account becomes active again.

Adding and Removing Accounts

You can add or remove worker accounts at any time, with minimal restrictions.

Removing an account:

When you remove an account, any targets it was actively working on will be moved to "Cancelled", since Aimfox will not be able to complete the sequences any longer.

Unassigned / Initialized targets will be reassigned to remaining worker accounts.

Adding accounts:

When you add a new account, the campaign will automatically start assigning targets to it.

Search Accounts

Certain campaign targeting types are account-sensitive. A great example for this is the default LinkedIn search, where using the same filters returns different targets depending on the account doing the search. Because of this, these campaigns require you to select a "Search Account".

The search account can be, but does not have to be, a worker account. However, it must be connected to perform searches.

The search account also must have a way to find the targets for your chosen campaign type. For example, it must be a member of a group, or an event attendee for Group and Event campaigns respectively.

You can change the search account at any time before starting the campaign. This will also require you to re-build your targeting.

Multi-Account Support by Campaign Type

Every campaign has certain unique behaviors or restrictions when it comes to working with multiple accounts.

Inbound campaigns:

  • All Inbound Campaigns - Multi account campaigns are not supported for Inbound campaign types.

Outbound campaigns:

  • LinkedIn Search - Full support, with one search account. Search account must be connected.

  • Post - Full support. Selecting a search account is not required.

  • Event - Full supported. All accounts (search and workers) must be attending the event.

  • Group - Full supported. All accounts (search and workers) must be members of the target group.

  • List - Full support. Selecting a search account is not required.

  • Sales Navigator - Full support, with one search account. Search account must be connected and have an active Sales Navigator subscription.

Starting a Multi-Account Campaign

To start a campaign, all worker accounts must have an Outreach seat.

  • If any accounts do not have a seat, Aimfox will prompt you to assign your unassigned seats to them.

  • If you do not have enough available seats, you’ll be prompted to upgrade your subscription.

For connect campaigns with a connection note, all accounts must have LinkedIn Premium.

Campaigns can be started even if some accounts are disconnected.
