A template is a pre-defined outbound message that can be used across multiple campaigns.

The templates page centralizes all of your Note, Message, and inMail templates in one convenient location, allowing you to easily manage them and track their performance.

Aimfox requires you to create a template for any communication used in your campaigns. You will be prompted to create a template when building your first campaign unless you already made one ahead of time.

Now that we understand the importance of templates let's begin creating one!

To create a template, navigate to the templates tab in the left-hand sidebar and click on the “Create Template” button at the top-right corner of your dashboard screen. You can also create a template while setting up your campaign.

After selecting the “Create Template” button, you'll be prompted to choose the type of template you wish to create: Note, Follow-up message, or InMail.

Note Template

Note templates are sent out alongside Connection Notes when reaching out to targets as part of your campaign connection flow.

Connection Note templates can be up to 250 characters long. However, it's better to keep your message shorter if you use Variables like First or Last Name since they might be longer for certain targets. If your message ends up being too long, it will not be sent out.

Follow-Up Message Template

Message templates are used in follow-up sequences. Functionally, they are LinkedIn Direct Messages.

Messages are limited to 1900 characters.

InMail Template

InMails are LinkedIn's unique communication channel. They let you contact users outside of your network without expending a connection request. Aimfox allows you to send Free InMails to campaign targets with open profiles.

Unlike Notes and follow-up messages, InMails are sent independently of a connection request, as part of our InMail optimization feature.

InMails must include a subject, and have a 1900 character limit.

Last but not least, you have the option to perform basic actions on your Templates, such as editing or deleting them. Deleting a template can only be done on the Templates page. However, editing can also be done during campaign setup.

When creating the template, be sure to give it a descriptive name for internal tracking purposes.

Templates can also include Smart Variables. These smart placeholders automatically pull information from the lead's LinkedIn profile, adding a personalized touch to your message.

You can further enhance your template during campaign setup using our auto-translate and AI enchantment features.
