Search Campaigns allow you target your audience by doing a LinkedIn People Search - directly in Aimfox. You can then automatically engage them with a connection note, paired with a follow-up message. 👀
The search is 100% integrated with LinkedIn, and always returns the most relevant people for your account, ensuring great performance and results.
Search campaigns are Aimfox's default campaign type and typically perform the best for most users.
How to create a LinkedIn Search Campaign 🤖
Step 1: Select the campaign type and settings
Go to your Campaigns page and click the "Create Campaign" button to open the campaign builder popup. Choosing Outbound LinkedIn Search Campaign will allow you to send a connection request or an InMail to your targets. Choosing an Inbound LinkedIn Search Campaign you will have an option to send a Direct Message to your targets.
Configure Settings:
After you've selected the campaign type you want, you will need to configure the main settings for this campaigns. Like with other campaign types, you need to configure which LinkedIn accounts will run your campaign, your Outreach type and the number of Targets you want to engage with.
Campaign settings breakdown:
👥 LinkedIn Accounts: You can now choose to run your campaign with a single account, multiple accounts, or even all accounts within your workspace.
You can find more information on our Multi - Accounts feature here
🔗 Outreach type: Decide if you want to send a Connection Request to your targets (recommended). Or create an InMail Only campaign, which will not engage all of your targets, only those with open profiles.
📧 InMail Optimization: Optimize your campaign by sending Free InMails to open profiles. This feature lets you overcome LinkedIn's weekly connection invite limit, and it never uses paid InMails (recommended).
🎯 Targets: Specify the maximum number of targets for your campaign. Aimfox supports up to 1,000 targets per campaign.
Once you are satisfied, click "Create campaign" to create a draft version of your campaign and move to the next step.
Step 2: Search for your Audience
This step is what really sets the Search campaign apart from other campaign types. Aimfox offers a integrated LinkedIn People Search directly in the app. No need to run between LinkedIn and the app to paste search results.
Keyword Search:
Simply type in relevant Keywords, Locations, Industries, and Aimfox will return a preview of your search results. This step works exactly like a LinkedIn People search. 🚀
Whenever you type a phrase into the keyword field, it is automatically converted into a "Keyword" when you click Enter. This behaves the same as when you use advanced LinkedIn search logic by using quotation marks.
The above search 👆 can be interpreted as "Engineering / Engineer" OR "UX". Aimfox will search for users who are either Engineers and UX professionals.
Example: Searching for a "UX Designer" is not the same as searching for "UX" OR "Designer".
You can also change the Keyword type to General, Company, School and Title.
Advanced Keyword Search:
You can set specific keywords as Mandatory or Excluded. Simply hover over they keyword with your mouse, and choose how you want to label this keyword.
🔎 Optional keywords are the default keyword state. Optional keywords tell Aimfox that you want some of your targets to include this keyword in their profile.
🔔Mandatory keywords tell Aimfox that ALL of your targets MUST include that keyword in their profile.
❌Excluded keywords tell Aimfox that NONE of your targets should have that keyword in their profile.
The example search below requires all results to include "UX designer", but they must not include "UI". This ensures that the search returns only professionals that are currently in a UX role, and not working with building UI directly.
Advanced Audience Filtering:
Once you're satisfied with your selection, you can proceed to the next step, where Aimfox will start searching for relevant targets (up to your pre-set limit) from this search.
You need to wait for this process to finish, so you may move on to the next step. On this screen our Advanced Audience Filtering comes in handy. Advanced audience filtering is an extra layer of targeting filters available in the Audience screen during campaign creation.
You can use these filters to remove targets from your campaigns and refine your audience even further.
Supported filters include:
Language
Current company
Past company
Education
Location
Premium LinkedIn member status
By selecting your targets in this step, you can either Remove them from the campaign, or Export their data in a .CSV format.
Step 3: Set your campaign Flow 💬
Your campaign Flow decides what types of actions Aimfox will perform in this campaign.
Free InMails can be sent regardless of which primary action is selected. Make sure to use InMails whenever possible to make the most of your weekly action limit on LinkedIn.
Connection Request Flow
A connection request is the most common way of growing your LinkedIn network. With this flow, Aimfox will send a connection request to your campaign targets with an optional Note of up to 200 characters.
Free LinkedIn accounts can only send 5 Connection Notes per month, so including a Note in your Campaign is only available for users with a LinkedIn Premium subscription.
Follow-up messages
Your connection request can be followed up with a sequence of direct messages so you can immediately engage your new Leads and start a conversation.
This message sequence triggers when Aimfox detects that a user has accepted your connection request. You can delay every message, even the first one, allowing full customization.
Your sequence can include as many messages as you want, but we advise using no more than 2-3 to avoid spammy behavior.
All sequences stop as soon as you receive any response from that LinkedIn user.
This is done to prevent sending messages out of context.
Step 3.5: Additional Campaign Features
These extra steps improve campaign performance or allow you to gather more data. They are available on all campaign types.
Custom Variables
Our Custom Variables can be used to add a short AI-generated compliment, or fine-tune tone and style. In any case, Custom Variables put the power in your hands.
You can access the Custom Variables when creating new or editing existing templates.
In the above example, we have added two custom variables, shown in blue: "First name" and "Company".
Auto Translate
Auto-Translate lets you target users globally with each campaign. Aimfox can detect the target’s preferred LinkedIn account language and automatically translate your campaign for maximum effectiveness. Messages can only be translated from English to other languages.
Split testing your Flows
If you're unsure which approach would work best for your audience, Aimfox allows you to create two separate Flows and test which one of them would work better.
After your campaign is created, you will be able to monitor which Flow is producing better results, and you can use that information to improve other campaigns.
Free InMails
You can optimize your campaign by using Free InMails. These InMails can be sent free of charge to Premium LinkedIn users with open profiles. This lets you save your weekly connection or message requests by replacing some of them with InMails. This step will never use your paid InMails, and as with previous steps, AI optimization and Translation are available.
Step 4: Campaign scheduling
In this campaign setup phase, users can specify the days and times when their campaign will be active. Moreover, users can send messages within a designated timezone or schedule them to be sent within the specified timeframe in the recipient's timezone by selecting the “Target’s Timezone” option.
Step 5: Finalize your campaign
Once you've completed all the steps and configured everything, you'll be presented with a preview screen where you can review all the details of the campaign you've created before launching it.
When you're satisfied with everything, simply start the campaign, and you'll be all set to go!
You can start the campaign immediately, schedule the campaign or save it as a draft to launch later.
Search Campaign Restrictions:
The LinkedIn search for this type of campaign is performed through your LinkedIn account.
While this ensures that you get the most relevant results, it also means that if your account reaches it's monthly LinkedIn search limit, you will have to wait for your search block to expire before creating this type of campaign. If this happens often, consider upgrading to a Premium LinkedIn account for unlimited search.
